This itinerary describes the most important highligths Peru in a non-stopping six days of activities in Southern Peru’s countryside.
Itinerary
Day 1
Lima Arrival
Arrival in Lima and check-in at the hotel; Upon arrival to Lima airport, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Once settled, our staff member will give you information and documentation about your program’s activities.
Day 2
Lima City Tour and Flight to Cusco, Ollantaytambo.
Morning, guided visit of Miraflores and San Isidro considered the contemporary districts in Lima, to go later into the down town to sightsee the Plaza Mayor, Cathedral and visit San Francisco Convent.
Noon, transfer to Lima airport for a flight to Cusco.
Mild afternoon reception at Cusco airport and transfer on van drive by two hours to Sacred Valley for an overnight in small town (Urubamba or Ollantaytambo).
Day 3
Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo Maras Moray and Aguas Calientes.
Early start to commence visiting the fort of Ollantaytambo known as the last place that Incas and Spanish fight before Incas went to Vilcabamba area.
Later, pass to visit concentric terraces of Moray and Salt pools of Maras.
By mild afternoon return to Ollantaytambo train station to have almost two hours train ride to Aguas Calientes for an overnight.
Day 4
Machu Picchu tour and return to Cusco
Today we will have a morning tour of Peru’s tourist icon. For it, we will get a thirty minutes shuttle bus service from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu having on there a two hours guided tour.
By noon, we will return back to Aguas Calientes and later take the train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco by van.
Day 5
Morning Cusco City Tour
This morning we will visit to Santo Domingo Convent which inside contains the Coricancha and Sun Temple considered the most beautiful Inca architecture in their capital. Later we will stop by the Main Square and pass into the Cathedral to enjoy the beautiful colonial art made with the architecture, paints and carvings on stone and wood during the Spanish presence. Going out of the city we will discover megalithic pieces that Sacsayhuaman fortress contains to pass later and find more inca remains at Qenko.
Afternoon is at leisure to shop or explore Cusco town.
Day 6
Return to Lima and back to home
According with flight schedule we will transfer you to Cusco airport.
Your arrival to Lima airport mush be with enough time to have international connection for your return to home.
