Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Lima
Arrival in Lima and check-in at the hotel; Upon arrival to Lima airport, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Once settled, our staff member will give you information and documentation about your program´s activities.
Day 2
Flight to Cusco & City Tour
Early flight from Lima to Cusco. After arrival, transfer to your hotel; remain of morning for altitude acclimatization.
Afternoon, Cusco City Tour visiting highlights of town like Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Coricancha, Sun Temple and Cusco Cathedral. Stay in Cusco. Breakfast.
Day 3
Moray concentric terraces, Maras salt pools and Ollantaytambo
Today we will visit Moray concentric terraces in the morning to pass later to the Salt pool of Maras, from there we will have a short hike to Urubamba river to have lunch in a local restaurant. For afternoon we will pass to Ollantaytambo visiting its impressive fort and finishing at hotel in town. Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 4
Hike to Cachicata Quarry and Camp
From Ollantaytambo, we will have five hours trek to Cachicata Quarry, on the way is possible to find many stones that Incas left when they were building Ollantaytambo temples. The hike is a gradual climb with scenic views of countryside with chances to find hummingbirds and many local flora.
Stay at night camping under constellations of southern hemisphere. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5
Back to Ollantaytambo, train ride to Aguas Calientes
This morning from campsite, you will have an optional extra hike uphill until Huayraqpunku to observe the impressive massif of Veronica (18,700 ft.) to later return back to Ollantaytambo passing by Cachicata and Rumira communities.
In the mild afternoon, take the train to Aguas Caliente for staying overnight. Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 6
Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu
Today we will spend the morning visiting Machu Picchu in a private guided tour. An extra hike to Huayna Picchu is included also. For afternoon we will return back to Aguas Calientes to relax, overnight in town. Breasfast.
Day 7
Back to Cusco, afternoon at leisure
Mild morning train service from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, from there a van ride to Cusco. Remain of day for exploring and discovering the ancient Inca capital.
Day 8
Return to Lima and home
According with flight schedule. Transfer to Cusco airport for your return to Lima to have later your international connection for home.
