Visit the Spanish colonial Lima and its museums and appreciate the magnificent architectural complexes the Incas built in and around Cusco. Then, enjoy the Sacred Valley and Lost Inca City of Machu Picchu, as well as amazing landscapes, to end this program at the Amazon rainforest; with plenty of days to relax.

Day 1
Arrival in Lima
Arrival in Lima and check-in at the hotel; Upon arrival to Lima airport, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Once settled, our staff member will give you information and documentation about your program´s activities.
Day 2
Tour of Lima
We´ll start the day with a guided visit of Miraflores and San Isidro, both considered as contemporary districts in Lima, to later on go downtown, to sightsee the Plaza Mayor (Main Square and Cathedral, San Francisco´s Convent will be possible to visit finding inside a huge catacombs.
Then, we´ll have the afternoon free to relax and for those interested, suggested activities are the visit of the Larco Museum or just to have a walk by Miraflores area.
In the evening, you might want to have dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy the delights of Peruvian cuisine. Breakfast.
Day 3
City tour of Cusco and nearby archaeological sites
Early departure to Lima airport, to board your flight to Cusco (3,400 m./11,152 ft.) and once there, you will have the rest of the morning to relax and acclimatize to the altitude.
In the afternoon, we´ll visit Santo Domingo´s Monastery which shelters the remains of the Qoricancha and Temple of the Sun considered as the most beautiful Inca architecture in Cusco; the Incas´ ancient capital city.
Later on, you will stop by the Main Square and visit the Cathedral, to enjoy the beautiful colonial art in its architecture, paintings and stone and wood carvings dating back to the Spanish Colonial Period. Then, we´ll leave the city, to discover amazing megalithic architectural structures in the Ceremonial Complex of Sacsayhuaman, as well as more Inca archaeological site in Qenko. Breakfast.
Day 4
Pisac to Ollantaytambo – Sacred Valley
Now, we will leave Cusco for three days, as we´ll be going northeast to the Sacred Valley. On the way, you will stop to have an overview of the first part of the valley, with the Urubamba River running along it. Then, we´ll have a stroll around Pisac´s Incan archaeological site, to later on head to the local handicraft market and interact with inhabitants and vendors, while shopping for handicraft. Afterwards, we´ll travel along the valley, going by many localities such as Coya, Lamay, Calca, Yucay, Urubamba and stopping in Ollantaytambo, where we´ll visit the archaeological site of the Inca fortress and finally stay at a local hotel. Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 5
Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu
Leaving Ollantaytambo behind, we´ll take a one and a half hour train journey to the village of Aguas Calientes, where we´ll stay for two nights. After a quick check-in at the hotel, to drop our bags, we´ll board a minibus bound to Machu Picchu which is the main highlight of the entire trip. Once there, we´ll have a guided tour for afternoon, having for it first a break for lunch around noontime, at Machu Picchu´s Sanctuary Lodge Restaurant. Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 6
Machu Picchu and leisure in Aguas Calientes
Optional second visit of Machu Picchu at sunrise, to take pictures of the site free of crowds, have a stroll to the Sun´s Gate and Incan Bridge or climb up Huayna Picchu Mountain. From Aguas Calientes, it is possible to walk downstream along the Urubamba River, to the Puente Ruinas Bridge and visit Machu Picchu´s Museum or go further down to Mandor, as we´ll observe on the way, a wide variety of birds living among the vegetation. We´ll also have the option of visiting the hot springs located in the immediate vicinity of Aguas Calientes. Breakfast.
Day 7
Ollantaytambo – Maras – Moray – Cusco
In the morning, we´ll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, to pick up our main luggage and change transportation, to go to Cusco by van. On our way, we´ll appreciate landscapes, as well as the visit of the Incan Experimental Agricultural Center in Moray and the Salineras (Salt Mines) in Maras. Arrival in Cusco will be in the late afternoon. Breakfast and Lunch.
Day 8
Exploring Cusco
Today is for leisure, as you might want to give a stroll around the center, visiting museums, churches, markets, stores or neighborhoods or still simply relax in some of the numerous cafés and restaurants around the Plaza de Armas (Main Square). Breakfast.
Day 9
Puerto Maldonado – Jungle Lodge
We´ll first transfer you to the airport, to board your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival and having received proper assistance at Puerto Maldonado´s airport, you will be transferred to the Jungle Lodge´s office in town, to leave your main luggage there. Then, we´ll go on a boat trip on the Madre de Dios or Tambopata River, to the lodge. Once there, you might want to take part in a sunset walk around the lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 10
In the Amazonian Jungle
Today, our activities will start early, as we´ll explore the deepest part of the jungle and will be able to participate in organized walks which will allow us to observe wild life such as monkeys, capybaras, macaws, toucans or caimans, along the river banks. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 11
Early morning return to Puerto Maldonado – Lima
Early in the morning, we´ll go on a boat ride back to Puerto Maldonado and after picking our main luggage up, we´ll go to the airport and board the plane back to Lima, on a nearly two hour flight. According to your flight schedule, we might stay at Lima’s airport or go to a hotel for a one night rest. The transfer from the hotel to the airport will be on your own. But, if you require assistance, please ask our staff for it. Breakfast.
